TREBUCHET

In the Summerville STEMfest trebuchet competition, students are tasked with building a trebuchet that is able to complete 3 objectives. The first task will be accuracy based, where competitors must hit a target. The second task will be distance based in which the softball being launched must cross a marked-out line. The third task will see competitors using the force of their trebuchet to knock down a wall. The team that finishes all three obstacles in the least number of launches will be declared the winner.
